Square Enix has released a new video that contrasts the graphics of the original Dragon Quest 3 on the Famicom with the forthcoming Dragon Quest 3 HD-2D Remake. This brief clip captures the party scene as they enter the Dreamer’s Tower early in the adventure.

The newly released video highlights the graphical and environmental differences between the HD-2D Remake and the original Famicom version, featuring characters such as the Hero, a female Warrior, a male Priest, and a female Mage in both versions.
Although the new remake presents significantly larger environments compared to the classic Dragon Quest 3, the time required for characters to navigate through the Dreamer’s Tower entrance remains largely unchanged. To adapt to the expanded maps, characters in the remake appear to move with greater speed.
As the release date approaches, Square Enix has unveiled fresh information regarding the innovative Monster Wrangler vocation and the Monster Arena, along with new game screenshots.
Dragon Quest 3 HD-2D Remake is set to launch on November 14, 2024, for platforms including Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, and PC via Steam.
