Corpse Party 2: Darkness Distortion Release Pushed to 2025

In March 2024, Mages and XSEED announced that Corpse Party 2: Darkness Distortion would be launching in Fall 2024. Unfortunately, the release has now been pushed back to 2025. Alongside this news, XSEED unveiled the special Ayame’s Mercy Collector’s Edition of the game.

For more details, you can check the official announcement from Mages and Team GrisGris, which explains the necessity of the delay to improve the game’s quality.

In a similar vein, XSEED issued a statement on social media providing insights into the delay of Corpse Party 2: Darkness Distortion. Notably, portions of the game were available for play at events such as Anime Expo 2024.

Regarding the Ayame’s Mercy edition, it is available for purchase directly from Marvelous. The collector’s editions for the Nintendo Switch and PS4 are each priced at $79.99. Along with the game, purchasers will receive a unique metal case designed to resemble an Amare Est Vivere Medical Kit from the game, an LED blue candle similar to the save point candles within the game, an Evidence Kit featuring in-game items, a lenticular art card, and a 64-page art book.
