Toby Fox recently provided an exciting update on social media regarding the development of Deltarune Chapters 3 and 4, which will be paid content, and confirmed that they are scheduled for release in 2025. This announcement follows an earlier update that aimed for a simultaneous global launch of both chapters.
In his update about the upcoming chapters, Toby Fox did not specify an exact release date for next year. The delay is primarily due to the ongoing process of localization and the need to ensure compatibility with Nintendo and PlayStation consoles in addition to the PC version.
I’m very eager to show you what we’ve made since 6 years ago. Chapter 3&4 will 100% come out in 2025. The specific time is still relying on localization and console porting. Please hear me clawing at the door trying to escape the shallow coffin I have been buried in.

The most recent updates concerning Deltarune Chapters 3 and 4 were shared in July 2024 and September 2024 through Toby Fox’s newsletter. The July update highlighted the goal for simultaneous releases and indicated that these upcoming chapters combined will feature more content than the first two chapters. The September update revealed that localization for the Japanese version of Chapter 3 was being handled by 8-4 and that testing for the PC version would commence in October 2024. By September 1, 2024, the main content for Chapter 4 and its PC version had also been completed.
Currently, players can enjoy Deltarune Chapters 1 and 2 on the Nintendo Switch, PS4, and PC, while the eagerly awaited Chapters 3 and 4 are expected to launch in 2025.
