Square Enix has officially revealed exciting details about the upcoming Dragon Quest 3 HD-2D, specifically regarding a new job role called Monster Wrangler. This unique job allows players to capture various creatures and utilize them in battles at the Monster Arena. Fresh information and screenshots have emerged, showcasing how this feature will enhance gameplay.
The Monster Wrangler role focuses heavily on the recruitment of monsters. Players can utilize the Animal Instinct skill to detect potential recruits in their vicinity and, if the player has a Monster Wrangler in their party, they can interact with these creatures more effectively. As players recruit more monsters, they gain access to new abilities that strengthen the Monster Wrangler class. Additionally, the potency of the Monster Pile-On attack is influenced by the number of monsters that have been successfully recruited.
Within the Dragon Quest 3 HD-2D universe, the Monster Arena serves as a battleground where characters saved through the Monster Wrangler can engage in combat. Each character can be befriended through different methods, offering unique strategies for gameplay. Players can also earn buffs by completing tasks, such as collecting all varieties of Slimes, making any added Slime more formidable. Battles are structured as 3v3, with multiple arenas available for exploration.
