The Performance Mode for Dragon’s Dogma 2 emphasizes framerate stability, allowing gameplay at 50-60 FPS on both the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X. Meanwhile, the Xbox Series S will see performance rates between 35-40 FPS, and the Steam version will differ based on the specifications of individual PCs. In Performance Mode, players will experience a 2160p output resolution alongside a 1728p rendering resolution on PS5 and Xbox Series X, with the Xbox Series S providing a 2160p output and a 1440p rendering resolution. Similar variable results will apply to the Steam version according to the player’s hardware.
Conversely, Graphics Mode aims for higher visual fidelity, offering 2160p rendering and output resolutions on both the PS5 and Xbox Series X. The Xbox Series S maintains a 2160p output but drops to a 1440p rendering resolution. The specifics of Graphics Mode on Steam will vary depending on the user’s PC configuration.
This latest update follows a series of previous improvements made to the game, including a patch released on October 4, 2024, which addressed minor bugs, and another update on September 17, 2024, that introduced several quality of life enhancements, new armor options in Sovran’s Armor, additional idle animations for characters, and the inclusion of a Casual Mode difficulty.
Dragon’s Dogma 2 is currently available on PS5, Xbox Series S/X, and Steam platforms.
