Capcom has announced the rollout of a new update for Dragon’s Dogma 2, featuring improved graphical settings specifically for PS5 Pro users. As is typical with updates, this patch also fixes a variety of bugs across all gaming platforms and is set to be available from October 31, 2024.
The latest Dragon’s Dogma 2 update incorporates a feature called “PlayStation Spectral Super Resolution” (PSSR), harnessing AI upscaling to enhance visual fidelity on the PS5 Pro. Furthermore, a fresh “Balanced” graphics mode provides PS5 Pro players the option to find a suitable compromise between performance and visual aesthetics.
Regarding bug fixes implemented in this Dragon’s Dogma 2 patch, they target all platforms with specific resolutions. The update addresses a progression issue in the “Nesting Troubles” mission, where advancement would stall even after players successfully deployed the necessary poison jar. Additionally, the update rectifies behavior inconsistencies in pawns exhibiting “Calm” or “Straightforward” traits, which could become motionless post-attempting the “Levitate” action. Capcom also resolved a glitch that made the spell “Maelstrom” disproportionately powerful when Myrddin was included in the player’s party. Other fixes included eliminating a mini-map issue that caused unintended zooming while traversing Hermit’s Retreat, as well as fixing minor audio bugs in the character customization menu.
Moreover, Capcom had previously introduced additional graphics and performance options in an update released on October 17, 2024, enhancing the visual experience on all platforms.
Currently, Dragon’s Dogma 2 is accessible on the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC through Steam.
