[Exclusive] Story of ‘Ask Bodhisattva’, fighting cancer and having an affair with her husband, “I will recover my health by finding comfort in Seo Jang-hoon and Lee Soo-geun”

Choi Seong-hee, a contestant from ‘Ask Bodhisattva’ who garnered sympathy from viewers by revealing the story of her husband’s affair while fighting stage 4 pancreatic cancer, shared her calm feelings.

Choi Seong-hee told this newspaper on the 19th that she “received great comfort from the hosts, Seo Jang-hoon and Lee Soo-geun, as well as many viewers,” and that she would “recover her health by receiving good treatment in the future.”

She continued, “She woke up and already the video of her appearance had hundreds of thousands of views and thousands of comments,” she said. “Everyone gave me a lot of support and comfort, and it gave me a lot of strength.”

On the 18th, Choi Seong-hee appeared on the KBS Joy entertainment program ‘Ask Anything Bodhisattva’ (Mulmun Bodhisattva) and revealed her story of learning about her husband’s affair after being diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer.

In the broadcast that day, Choi Seong-hee said, “She found out that her husband was cheating on her three months after she was diagnosed with cancer.” I knew it. Her child is 5 years old and she is currently being raised by me,” she said.

Choi Seong-hee’s ex-husband ran a gym, and her counterpart was a government official. Knowing this, Choi Seong-hee filed a lawsuit against the woman for damages for her incest, and after more than a year and 10 months, she received a ruling in her favor.

She was also the reason why Choi Seong-hee appeared on ‘Ask Bodhisattva’ by revealing her real name and her face. Before she went on air, Choi Seong-hee submitted her materials and several pieces of evidence to the production team of ‘Ask Bodhisattva’ and then she appeared.

Choi Seong-hee said, “More than anything, the woman harassed me with ridiculous and false claims, including lying about my struggle with cancer. It was difficult for me to forgive this, and I also couldn’t tell people around me about my husband’s affair. “Rather than telling everyone around me, I wanted to go on air and confidently state the truth,” she said.

She also expressed her gratitude to ‘Ask Bodhisattva’ hosts Seo Jang-hoon and Lee Soo-geun. Choi Seong-hee said, “When Seo Jang-hoon heard my story, he ordered people around me to ‘watch from afar and do not contact me,’ but in reality, no one has contacted me. There are many parts that were not broadcast, but Seo Jang-hoon and Lee Soo-geun played a big part in my story. “He gave me empathy and advice,” he said.

She also said, “I gained strength from the outpouring of support after appearing on this broadcast,” and added, “I will restore her health and live happily with my child.”
