Historical Context of Demolition Suspension
Temporary suspensions of the FFXIV automatic housing demolition are not uncommon in light of unforeseen circumstances. Notably, after the launch of the Endwalker expansion, the feature was paused due to overwhelming server congestion that made it challenging for players to log in. Additionally, when the Noto Peninsula earthquake struck Japan in January 2024, Square Enix briefly halted the demolition process. Most recently, players in North America benefitted from a similar suspension because of Hurricane Helene.
Game Availability
Final Fantasy XIV is accessible on various platforms, including PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC. As we await further updates from Square Enix, European players can rest assured that no housing demolitions will take place while they face login issues stemming from inclement weather.
