Honkai: Star Rail Dr Ratio Truth Contest by HoYoVerse and Miscolle

Miscolle and HoYoVerse have teamed up to host a unique competition in Japan where students from elite universities will explore the concept of truth, featuring Doctor Ratio from the game Honkai: Star Rail as the central figure. Participants are invited to cast their votes for the definitions they resonate with.

The participating institutions include Tokyo University, Keio University, and Aoyama Gakuin University. Each university has sent representatives to present their personal interpretations of truth. These representatives are part of the Miss & Mr. Contest organized by Miscolle. Notably, only the male participants are competing in this particular event.

To participate in voting, you can follow this link. Voting will remain open until the end of October 24, 2024. The contestant who garners the highest number of votes will be awarded a trophy modeled after the plaster head worn by Doctor Ratio, along with a gift card valued at 100,000 JPY. Runners-up will receive gift cards of 50,000 JPY each.

Some submissions are particularly compelling. Aoyama’s Entry 03 claims that “light” embodies truth, while Entry 05 from Aoyama posits, “There’s no definitive answer to that question; it’s a rabbit hole you could explore indefinitely,” concluding with a star emoji. Keio’s Entry 04 suggests truth is tied to one’s sense of belonging, while Tokyo’s Entry 01 boldly states that the existence of extraterrestrial life is the truth. Other entries delve into deeper reflections; for instance, Keio’s Entry 05 notes, “Believing that your dreams will materialize solely through hard work might be an illusion. Yet, those who achieve their aspirations have certainly dedicated effort. Life doesn’t always present clear answers; however, every unexpected journey has its own right answer.”

Honkai: Star Rail is available across various platforms including PS5, Windows PC, and mobile devices. Remember, you can vote for your preferred interpretation of truth until October 24, 2024. The latest version, 2.6, set within a university context, was recently released on October 23, 2024.
