HoYoVerse recently revealed intriguing information concerning three characters from Honkai: Star Rail in their Genius Society report, highlighting the enigmatic figure known as Polka Kakamond. Although Herta has alluded to her presence throughout the game, players have yet to encounter or hear directly from Polka.
The latest revelations about Polka Kakamond in Honkai: Star Rail do not provide any visual references, as she is notorious for erasing her images throughout the universe. Characterized as an assassin, she is believed to be responsible for the demise of Emperor Rupert, another member of the Genius Society, during the tumultuous Machine Empire Crisis and the First Emperor’s War. Known as the “Lord of Silence,” she is rumored to have been involved in the deaths of additional society members and is connected to the Aeon Nous, following their doctrine of Erudition.
Additionally, the report touched on Rupert and his successor, Rupert II. Rupert was a computing entity and former member who declared himself emperor of the Machine Empire. He devised the Anti-Organic Equation aimed at annihilating what he deemed “inferior”organic lifeforms, igniting the First Emperor’s War before meeting his end during the conflict, paving the way for Rupert II. This successor participated in the Second Emperor’s War and developed the Scepter system designed to serve as computational interference devices, which were subsequently handed over to the Intelligentsia Guild, leading to the ongoing Scholar’s Strife.
The third Honkai: Star Rail character introduced in HoYoVerse’s report is Dr. Primitive, who is mentioned alongside Galaxy Rangers like Boothill, as well as Herta, Screwllum, and Ruan Mei. Dr. Primitive harbors a deep hostility toward humanity and conducts experiments on people. Renowned for crafting memetic viruses, he leads the Galaxy Rangers on wild chases, attacking the planet Vonwacq and displaying a peculiar fondness for bananas.
It seems unlikely that players will be able to encounter these new Genius Society characters from Honkai: Star Rail anytime soon. The upcoming 2.6 patch will focus on adventures within Penacony and introduce a new 5-star character, the Galaxy Ranger Rappa. Players can anticipate the arrival of characters Fugue and Sunday in version 2.7.
Honkai: Star Rail is accessible on PS5, PC, and mobile platforms, with the 2.6 update set to launch on October 23, 2024.
