Square Enix and Mistwalker unveiled a new video on the official social media account for Fantasian Neo Dimension, revealing that it will mark the final project for composer Nobuo Uematsu. He made this announcement in a concise statement.
The announcement highlighted that the broader release of Fantasian is set for December 5, 2024. Up until now, it had only been available on Apple devices through the Apple Arcade service. Uematsu further declared, “This is my last project as a video game music composer.”

Nobuo Uematsu was initially chosen as the composer for the original Fantasian title before announcing that his final work will be the release of Fantasian Neo Dimension. In addition, he recently contributed to the FFVII Rebirth theme song “No Promises to Keep,” associated with character Aerith. His compositions were also featured in the FFVII Remake. Over the years, Uematsu has collaborated on titles such as Square Enix’s Dungeon Encounters, FFXIV, and FFXV, along with Mistwalker’s Terra Wars and Terra Battle 2.
The Fantasian Neo Dimension will be available on Nintendo Switch, PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC starting December 5, 2024. Meanwhile, the original JRPG can be accessed now on Apple devices including iPads and Macs through Apple Arcade.
