Square Enix is welcoming back players to Final Fantasy XIV with the launch of a new Free Login Campaign for the popular MMORPG starting October 11, 2024. This initiative, which made a comeback in June 2024, creates an opportunity for inactive gamers who currently don’t have a subscription to re-experience the game for a limited time.
To be eligible for the Free Login Campaign, players must have inactive accounts. This status indicates that they neither have a subscription nor have played the game recently. Specifically, if it’s been more than 30 days since your last login, meaning you haven’t played since around September 10, 2024, you’re qualified. If you have previously owned and engaged with the game, you can log back in from October 11-31, 2024.
Under this promotion, players are granted approximately 96 hours to enjoy Final Fantasy XIV once more. The countdown begins once you start using the offer. Thus, starting on a Friday (like today) allows players to maximize their free weekend. However, the total free duration isn’t 96 hours cumulatively; instead, it gives four consecutive days of playtime. For instance, if someone triggers the offer on October 11, 2024, their final day of free access will be October 14, 2024.
The Free Login Campaign is also timed with the return of other events in the MMORPG. The Moogle Treasure Trove: The Hunt for Goetia will begin on October 15, 2024. Following that, the All Saints’ Wake event returns on October 18, 2024, featuring Halloween-themed attire and decorations. Players taking advantage of the Free Login Campaign might consider waiting until October 18, 2024, to enjoy both events.
Final Fantasy XIV can be accessed on PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC, with the Free Login Campaign available until October 31, 2024.
