In 2016, Atlus unveiled a concept video for Project Re Fantasy, giving players a glimpse into the thematic elements expected in the upcoming game. Fast forward to 2024, and we now have the release of Metaphor: ReFantazio, which follows this initial teaser with an exciting second concept video. This new clip showcases the protagonist’s journey and the significant novel he carries, delving into notions surrounding a “promised land.”
The recently released “Concept Video 2” of Metaphor: ReFantazio opens with an exploration of the various tribes inhabiting its world. It paints a vivid picture of how life could be transformed if there were a singular tribe, enhancing travel and connectivity. The video also introduces the theme of magic, highlighting its potential to spark conflicts through sorcery.
Continuing, the video presents the idea of the “promised land,” characterized by massive urban centers filled with towering glass skyscrapers, vehicles, and an ethos where “all lives are equal.” Upon reflecting on this vision of paradise and fantasy, the video hints that a hero could pave the way for a brighter future.

Scheduled for release on October 11, 2024, Metaphor: ReFantazio will be available on the PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC platforms. A demo version is also accessible for eager players.
