Atlus has rolled out a new update for Metaphor: ReFantazio, enabling players to disable motion blur. This is among several adjustments highlighted in the patch notes, which should now be accessible to console gamers. Meanwhile, for PC users, the update is anticipated to arrive shortly.
The 1.09 update introduces a fresh feature in the settings menu named Dash Effects, which gives players the ability to turn off motion blur—a concern that had prompted some players to create mods for PC. Additionally, the animation speed for the popularity ranking has been enhanced, increasing the overall quality of the experience.
Additional modifications come with this patch, addressing progression dilemmas such as an unfinished quest in the Catacombs and enemies affected by certain status conditions that were hindering advancement. These issues have been resolved, alongside various other minor bugs.
Metaphor: ReFantazio is the newest title from Katsura Hashino, the director behind the Persona franchise. The game unfolds in a fantastical realm where inhabitants vie in a royal tournament to select a new monarch. It has garnered significant attention, achieving over one million copies sold on its debut day.
Available now on PS5, PS4, PC, and Xbox Series X/S, the latest patch is currently live for console players, with PC access expected to follow soon.
