Sales of Silent Hill 2 Remake Surpass 1 Million Units

Following its release on October 8, 2024, the remake of Silent Hill 2 has achieved over a million sales globally. Capcom has confirmed that this figure encompasses all available platforms, including both digital and physical purchases.

This updated edition of Silent Hill 2 rejuvenates the beloved horror title with enhanced visuals, a reworked combat mechanism, and distinct character designs. While it retains the original narrative, new scenes have been added to deepen the storyline. Several encounters also present fresh interpretations compared to the classic. The plot centers on James Sunderland, a man grieving his wife who died three years earlier. Out of the blue, he receives a mysterious letter from her, urging him to return to Silent Hill—their cherished vacation destination. In his search for the wife he believed had passed, he encounters Angela and Eddie, each drawn to the town for personal reasons. Yet, in true Silent Hill fashion, the reality of the town has drastically altered since their last visit.

Currently, there are no discounts on Silent Hill 2. The PC version is accessible via Steam and PS5 at a price of $69.99. Additionally, a deluxe edition is available for $79.99 which includes exclusive items like a Pyramid Head pizza box mask for James, along with a digital art book and soundtrack.

Fans can find the Silent Hill 2 remake available now on PS5 and Windows PC.
