[Busan = Sports Chosun Reporter Cho Ji-young] Actor John Cho said about the controversial use of AI in Hollywood, “Art is an expression that only humans can do.”

On the afternoon of the 6th, a press conference for the 28th Busan International Film Festival ‘Korean American Special Exhibition: Korean Diaspora’ was held at the KNN Theater, KNN Tower, located in U-dong, Haeundae-gu, Busan. Attending the press conference on this day were actors John Cho, Steven Yeun, and directors Lee Isaac Chung and Justin Jeon.

Regarding the use of artificial intelligence (AI), John Cho said, “Like other industries, humans are being replaced by machines. But art is an expression of the human mind. It is a work written by people and is based on human experience.”I want to see art that is made possible. I believe that in the field of art, there are expressions that only humans can do, and that this should not be taken away. So what the union wants to do is recognize the profession we do as a specialized field that only humans can do. “It’s about raising your voice and demanding that you receive appropriate compensation. It’s all in order to produce better works of art,” he said.

Meanwhile, this year’s Busan Film Festival opened on the 4th and will be held in the Busan area for 10 days until the 13th. The opening film was ‘Because I Hate Korea’, a new film by Korean director Jang Geon-jae, and the closing film was ‘The Emperor of Movies’, a new film by Chinese director Ning Hao.
