On the morning of the 19th, a production presentation for the Netflix original series ‘Thief: The Sound of the Sword’ (directed by Hwang Jun-hyuk, hereinafter referred to as ‘The Thief’) was held at the Ambassador Seoul Pullman Hotel in Jung-gu, Seoul. Actors Kim Nam-gil, Seohyun, Yoo Jae-myeong, Lee Hyun-wook, Lee Ho-jeong, Kim Do-yoon, Lee Jae-gyun, Cha Yeop, Cha Chung-hwa and director Hwang Jun-hyuk attended the event.

‘Thieves’ is an action drama about people who come together to protect their precious people and their home in Gando, a lawless land where Chinese people, Japanese money, and Joseon people gathered in 1920.

Seohyun played the role of Nam Hee-shin, an independence activist disguised as the manager of the railway department of the Japanese Government-General of Korea. He expressed his feelings about acting, saying, “I felt an unusually heavy sense of responsibility in expressing Hee-shin’s emotions.”

He added, “Even right before filming, I thought I had to capture the emotional line well. I thought I had to build up the pain of the times inside me, rather than just the sadness.”

I also talked about what was disappointing. Seohyun joked, “I wanted to join the bandits, but I was disappointed that we didn’t meet many of them.”

‘The Thief’, a Korean-style western action drama that will cover the Chuseok holiday, will be released on Netflix on the 22nd.
