Tokyo Clanpool Launching in English for Switch and PC

Tokyo Clanpool Set to Make Global Debut in December 2024

Originally launched in Japan for the PlayStation Vita in 2017, Tokyo Clanpool is gearing up for a worldwide release on new gaming platforms. This first-person dungeon-crawler is set to come out in December 2024 for the Nintendo Switch and PC, with both digital and physical versions available to international players.

Exploring a Dystopian Future

Set in a grim future ravaged by monsters from a location known as Reverse City, players assume the role of Prime Minister Natsume Kannuki. As she assembles her team of warriors, dubbed Diet Dolls—a nod to Japan’s National Diet—players will traverse towering dungeons in their quest to confront these formidable creatures and venture to the source of the chaos situated high above their world.

Gameplay Mechanics and Approval Ratings

A unique twist to the gameplay is the approval rating system. Players’ actions during dungeon dives influence their approval ratings, which in turn affect public support. A higher rating grants bonuses that enhance exploration, while poor performance can lead to negative consequences for your government standing. This engagement with the populace adds a layer of strategy and consequence to your decisions in the game.

Exciting Limited Edition Releases

Eastasiasoft has announced that Play-Asia will offer exclusive limited editions of Tokyo Clanpool, with only 3,000 copies available for the Switch. The standard physical version will retail at $39.99, while the limited edition will be priced at $59.99. This special edition includes several attractive bonuses such as an art book, a soundtrack CD, a poster, and stickers.
