In just 24 hours following its release, Bandai Namco reported that Dragon Ball Sparking Zero achieved over 3 million copies sold globally. This impressive figure includes all digital versions, such as those available on PC through Steam.
Dragon Ball Sparking Zero marks the latest installment in the beloved Sparking and Budokai Tenkaichi franchises, produced by Bandai Namco and Spike Chunsoft. The previous title released 17 years ago. At its debut, this game showcased an incredible roster of 182 characters—setting a record for the series—each equipped with distinct skills and abilities. Furthermore, Bandai Namco has already rolled out the first DLC character, Goku (Mini), offered as a pre-order incentive. This character allows players to recreate some of the most iconic battles from the beloved anime and manga saga.
It’s important to note that the 24-hour sales milestone began counting from October 11, 2024. The Steam version was released a day later, whereas players on PS5 and Xbox Series X enjoyed access starting October 10, 2024. Despite being available on only three platforms, the game supports a variety of languages, enhancing its accessibility for fans across the globe. This widespread availability may also have played a role in the rapid sales success of Dragon Ball Sparking Zero.
Dragon Ball Sparking Zero is currently available on PS5, Xbox Series X, and Windows PC.
