Koei Tecmo has unveiled the opening movie for their next role-playing game, Fairy Tail 2, which draws inspiration from the beloved Fairy Tail anime and manga series. This new installment will delve into the Alvarez Empire Arc, showcasing the adventures of Natsu, Lucy, and their fellow guild members as they confront the formidable Emperor Zeref along with his elite Spriggan 12 and the fearsome Black Dragon Acnologia. Fans can look forward to the release of Fairy Tail 2 on December 13, 2024. Pre-orders for both digital and physical formats are now available for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and Steam platforms.

As part of the pre-order bonuses for Fairy Tail 2, players who reserve their copy will be gifted Natsu’s Edolas outfit, while those who make early purchases will receive Lucy’s costume from the Miss Fairy Tail contest. Additionally, fans opting for the digital deluxe edition will unlock special outfits for Lucy, Erza, and Mirajane inspired by Gust games Ryza 1, 2, and 3.
In other news, during a recent discussion, Fairy Tail 2 Producer Hiroshi Kataoka shared insights about the decision to include the Alvarez Empire Arc, the modifications implemented to better fit the story into gameplay, and the collaboration with series creator Hiro Mashima.
Fairy Tail 2 will officially launch on December 13, 2024, with the Steam version becoming accessible two days earlier, on December 11, 2024.
