In the game showcase held in October 2024, Capcom announced that an Open Beta Test for Monster Hunter Wilds will commence on October 31, 2024, and will continue until November 3, 2024. This testing phase will be accessible on PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC via Steam, featuring complete crossplay functionality.
Players participating in the upcoming Monster Hunter Wilds beta will have the opportunity to explore three main features of the game. The first feature is the character customization tool that allows players to design their hunters and the accompanying Palico partners with the same capabilities as in the final game. Importantly, the character data created during the beta will transfer over to the final version.
The Story Trial section will provide insight into the game’s narrative, including the introductory cutscene, the first Chatacabra Hunt, and essential tutorials. Additionally, players can engage in a battle against the Doshaguma pack leader during the Doshaguma Hunt. Throughout either hunting experience, players can utilize an SOS Flare to team up with others for online multiplayer gameplay. Participants in the beta will be rewarded with a special Palico pendant accessory that will be redeemable in the official game release.
Below are the PT and GMT timings for the Monster Hunter Wilds open beta shared during the event, along with a preview of the Palico pendant reward for beta participants:
