Audi conducts city tour of Dakar Rally race car ‘RS Q e-tron’ in 3 European cities

Audi conducted a city tour in major European cities such as Madrid, Paris, and Stockholm where you could see the Audi RS Q e-tron competing in the Dakar Rally. After receiving favorable reviews from a city tour held in Hamburg, Germany a year ago, this time a city tour was held in the capitals of Spain, France, and Sweden, with Carlos Sainz of the Audi factory team participating in the Dakar Rally. The Audi Factory team demonstrated the Audi RS Q e-tron, a prototype electric drive system, driving at the most beautiful landmarks in three cities. Various attractions, including the royal palaces of Spain and Sweden, the Eiffel Tower and Sacré-Coeur Basilica in Paris, were included in the driving course, and in some places, a drift demonstration was held where you could feel the output of the Audi RS Q e-tron, reaching 263 kW (358 horsepower). Audi is a pioneering brand that has been promoting electrification in the motorsports field since 2012, and the RS Q e-tron proves that even eco-friendly vehicles can achieve success in desert rallies through an electric drive system and energy converter. It was developed to do this. The energy converter consists of an internal combustion engine and a generator, and starting this season, Audi is using sustainable fuel that reduces carbon dioxide emissions by about 60%.

Meanwhile, last year, the Audi Sport team won the overall championship at the Abu Dhabi Desert Challenge. In addition, he has recorded six stage wins in the two Dakar rallies to date, and has ranked in the top three a total of 28 times throughout the race.
