Genesis exceeds 1 million units in cumulative global sales
The Genesis brand (hereinafter referred to as Genesis) has surpassed 1 million units in cumulative global sales. Genesis announced on the 17th (Sunday) that since the launch of the brand, it has sold a total of 1,008,804 units in the global market, including 690,177 units in Korea and 318,627 units overseas, as of August this year.
This is an achievement achieved 7 years and 10 months after it was born as Korea’s first luxury brand in November 2015, and 2 years and 3 months after cumulative sales exceeded 500,000 units. Genesis, which continues to grow rapidly and is recognized for its presence as a global luxury brand, continues its leap toward becoming the ‘luxury brand most desired by customers.’
To successfully transition to electrification, all new vehicles will be launched as electric vehicles after 2025 and diversification of electric vehicle production sites will also be considered. Through this, we plan to establish ourselves as a leading brand in the future electrification era.
At the same time, we will continue to present competitive lineups and strengthen differentiated customer experiences. We plan to improve the completeness of our lineup by launching new, never-before-seen car classes, and deliver the value of Genesis to more customers by continuously expanding and building brand experience spaces such as Genesis Studio.
“Genesis has continued its efforts to create new experiences and values for customers since its launch, and has recorded meaningful growth in that journey,” said Song Min-gyu, vice president and head of Genesis Business Division. “We will continue to provide unique luxury experiences that have never existed before in the world.” “We will make it happen,” he said.
