‘H2 MEET 2023’, the world’s largest hydrogen industry exhibition, is the largest ever and will be held at KINTEX Exhibition Hall 1 in Goyang-si, Gyeonggi-do for a total of 3 days from Wednesday, September 13 to Friday, September 15.

This exhibition is hosted by the H2 MEET Organizing Committee* (Chairman Kang Nam-hoon and Chairman of the Korea Automobile Mobility Industry Association, hereinafter referred to as the Organizing Committee) and organized by the Organizing Committee, KOTRA, and KINTEX, and is hosted by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, Ministry of Environment, Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, Ministry of Science and ICT, and Goyang. ◆ The largest international conference ever operated to revitalize the hydrogen economy through technology

At H2 MEET 2023, the ‘H2 MEET Conference 2023’ will be held to share trends in the global hydrogen industry and identify the latest technology trends along with exhibitions of cutting-edge technologies and products related to the hydrogen industry introduced by a total of 303 companies and organizations.

In particular, this year’s conference is the largest ever, with over 180 domestic and foreign speakers including global hydrogen industry leaders, policymakers, and experts participating throughout the exhibition period, and will be held at a ‘Leaders Summit’ and ‘Country Day’ that reflect the characteristics of each session. It consists of three sessions: ‘Day’ and ‘Tech Talk’.

① ‘Leaders’ Summit’ to share the hydrogen industry vision and discuss policies for a sustainable future

First, the Leaders’ Summit will be held on Thursday, September 14th and Friday, September 15th, where global leaders will share their vision for a sustainable future and discuss hydrogen policies and prospects for each country. On Thursday, September 14th, a panel discussion on the theme of ‘Ramping Up Hydrogen Economy with Cutting-Edge Technology’ will be held, starting with keynote speeches by hydrogen managers from global companies, and GHIAA (GHIAA) The GHIAA general meeting and forum will also be held in which eight countries, including the Netherlands, Australia, and Argentina, which are member countries of the World Hydrogen Industry Association*, will participate.

In addition, on Friday, September 15, global hydrogen companies will give presentations on two topics: ▲Advanced technology for clean hydrogen, and ▲Accelerating hydrogen utilization. A special panel session co-hosted by the organizing committee and the Korea Automobile Journalists Association (Chairman Hee-soo Kang, AWAK) will also be held on this day.

② ‘Country Day’ to share hydrogen policies and seek cooperation among leading countries in the hydrogen industry

Country Day, which was first introduced last year and received a warm response as a venue for cooperation and cooperation in hydrogen policies of each country, with the participation of many high-ranking ministers and vice ministers from around the world, will also be held throughout the exhibition period. This year, six countries, including the Netherlands, Sweden, Canada, and Australia, will participate and present each country’s hydrogen policies and representative companies’ hydrogen industry plans. ③ ‘Tech Talk’ to understand the latest technological trends in the global hydrogen industry

Lastly, Tech Talk provides the latest technological information on the hydrogen industry value chain, and will be held throughout the event period from Wednesday, September 13 to Friday, September 15. On Wednesday, September 13th, presentations were made by ‘Rystad Energy’ and ‘EN2CORE Technology’ under the theme of ‘Tech insight’, and on September 14th (On Thursday, there will be a tech talk with participation from ‘AP Green’, ‘ACTCO’, and ‘CarbonNet Project’ on the theme of ‘Hydrogen production and fuel cells’, on September 15th. On Sunday (Friday), companies such as ‘CSIRO (Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organization)’, ‘HORIBA’, and ‘An Materials’ will give presentations on the topic of ‘Hydrogen storage and transportation’.

◆ Expansion of global technology and product award ceremonies to discover innovative hydrogen industry technologies

Based on the goal that the popularization and development of the hydrogen industry begins with technological innovation, the organizing committee discovered companies possessing innovative technologies at home and abroad across the hydrogen industry and held the ‘H2 Innovation Award’, following last year, to promote technological exchange in the industry. and ‘Best Product Media Awards’ and ‘Global Media Picks’.

First, the H2 Innovation Award selects excellent companies in three categories: ① hydrogen production, ② hydrogen storage and transportation, and ③ hydrogen utilization, and holds an awards ceremony for large, medium, and small companies and startups with hydrogen-related technology. Currently, 11 companies have entered the finals, and the final 8* excellent companies among the companies that advanced to the finals will be selected and announced at an awards ceremony on Wednesday, September 13th. Excellent companies will provide an opportunity to introduce their innovative technologies through Tech Talk technology presentations on the 13th and 14th.

In addition, the organizing committee increased public confidence by co-hosting the ‘Best Product Media Award’, which was first introduced last year and received great response, with the Korea Automobile Journalists Association (Chairman Choi Dae-yeol, KAJA) this year. For this award, journalists who covered the participating companies select the winning companies* in consideration of audience response, market potential, technological innovation, etc., and the results will be announced after the end of the exhibition.

Domestic hydrogen policy and vision will be revealed.

Meanwhile, H2 MEET viewing hours are from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekdays, and the admission fee is 15,000 won for the general public, 5,000 won for college students, military personnel, seniors, the disabled, and veterans, and free for high school students and younger. During the same period, the secondary battery materials, components and equipment exhibition (K-BATTERY SHOW 2023) will be held at KINTEX Exhibition Hall 1 along with H2 MEET.
