This is what the basic BMW 5 Series Full Change model looks like, what are the options?

BMW Korea launched the 5 Series full change on the 5th. Compared to the previous generation, the new 5 Series features a larger body, clear exterior design, and digitalized interior. The new 5 Series was introduced as a base trim instead of the previous luxury trim, and was equipped with specifications preferred by domestic customers.

Unlike the previous generation, the 5 Series Full Change, which was launched in the domestic market for the first time in the world, changed its basic trim from luxury trim to base trim. The detailed price of the new 5 Series was set at KRW 68.8 million for the 520i, KRW 73.3 million for the M Sports Package, KRW 84.2 million for the 530 xDrive, and KRW 88.7 million for the M Sports Package.

The 523d ​​is priced at 75.8 million won for the base, 80.3 million won for the M Sports package, 78.8 million won for the xDrive base, and 83.3 million won for the M Sports package. The i5 is priced at KRW 93.9 million for the eDrive 40 Base, KRW 96.9 million for the M Sports Package, KRW 101.7 million for the M Sports Package Pro, and KRW 138.9 million for the M60 xDrive M Sports Package Pro.

The new 5 Series has an increase of 95mm in length, 30mm in width, 35mm in height, and 20mm in wheelbase compared to the previous model. On the front, BMW’s signature twin headlamps and kidney grille have been reinterpreted in a modern way. BMW Iconic Glow, a grill lighting, is provided starting from the M Sports package or 530i.

The side part features a vertically falling grille, a high shoulder line, and an engraved ‘5’ on the C-pillar. The rear part has tail lamps with an emphasis on volume and an L-shaped chrome strip. The new 5 Series basic model has a significantly different front and rear bumper design compared to the M Sports package.

The front bumper of the new 5 Series base trim has vertical air ducts placed on the sides without garnish, and a rectangular air intake is installed at the bottom. 19-inch wheels are provided. The new 5 Series comes standard with adaptive LED headlamps, a large panoramic glass roof, first-row ventilated seats, and an electric trunk.

Options preferred by domestic customers include Driving Assistant Professional, which includes adaptive cruise control and lane keeping assist, Parking Assistant Plus, which includes parking and reversing assistance, 360-degree surround view and front panoramic view, wireless smartphone charging, and Travel & Comfort. Equipped as standard.

The 520i and 523d ​​lineup offers sports seats and the 5 Series’ first fully vegan Veganza material, while other models offer comfort seats and merino leather. The new 5 Series supports various functions such as infotainment system OS 8.5 with QuickSelect, YouTube, video streaming apps, and games.

The new 5 Series internal combustion engine is based on a 48V mild hybrid. The 520i, equipped with a 4-cylinder gasoline turbo engine, has a maximum output of 190 horsepower, and the 530i has a maximum output of 258 horsepower. The 523d ​​has a maximum output of 197 horsepower and a maximum torque of 40.8kgm. All are equipped with an 8-speed Steptronic sports transmission.

The i5’s range is 384km on a single charge with eDrive40 21-inch wheels, and the M60 xDrive is 361km. The M60 xDrive is the most powerful among the new 5 Series lineup, with a total output of 601 horsepower and a maximum torque of 81.1 kgm. Accelerates from standstill to 100 km/h in 3.8 seconds. The i5 supports up to 205kW fast charging.
