Toyota bZ4X domestic release announced, electric vehicle priced at 56 million won in the US

Toyota bZ4X will be introduced in Korea. According to a Toyota Korea official, the bZ4X will be released next year, and the exact time has not been determined. The bZ4X is based on e-TNGA, a dedicated electric vehicle platform, and has a slightly larger body than the Toyota RAV4. In the US, the driving range on a single charge is 405 km, and the price is around 56 million won.

Just as Lexus launched the RZ450e, Toyota Korea is also planning to strengthen its electric vehicle lineup, and will launch the bZ4X next year. bZ4X was first introduced in the United States, and its price starts from $42,000 (about 56 million won). bZ4X shares the electric vehicle-specific e-TNGA platform with RZ450e. The bZ4X body size is 4690mm in length, 1860mm in width, 1651mm in height, and 2850mm wheelbase. It is overall larger than the Toyota RAV4.

In particular, the wheelbase is the same as the Toyota Highlander, a large SUV recently released in Korea. The bZ4X’s lithium-ion battery capacity is 71.4kWh. On a single full charge, it can drive 405km with front-wheel drive and 357km with four-wheel drive based on EPA standards. Supports 150kW high-speed charging. It takes about 30 minutes to charge the battery from 0 to 80%.

Toyota predicted that the battery capacity will remain at 90% of the original level even after 10 years or 240,000 km of driving. The maximum output of the bZ4X FWD’s electric motor is 204 horsepower. AWD has electric motors mounted on the front and rear wheels, respectively. The combined total output is 218 horsepower. Zero to hundred seconds are 8.4 seconds and 7.7 seconds, respectively.

The bZ4X features an aerodynamically designed exterior and a spacious interior with 1000mm of second-row legroom. bZ4X comes standard with the latest ADAS, including dynamic radar cruise control, blind spot warning, lane keeping assist, automatic high beam, and front/rear parking assist system with emergency braking.
