Ha Jung-woo, who attended the press screening and press conference for the movie ‘1947 Boston’ held at Lotte Cinema in Konkuk University Station, Seoul on the afternoon of the 11th, said about playing the role of a mentor in a work for the first time, “It is my first time playing the role of a director and a senior. After watching the movie today, I thought about it.””The first thought I had when Im Si-wan and I were caught on screen together was, ‘I guess I’m a little older.’ Other than that, there was nothing special,” he said, making everyone laugh.

He continued, “Teacher Son Ki-jeong led the team to the Boston Games, and I think he felt a certain sense of responsibility. As a senior, I felt responsible for not being able to wear the Taegeukgi at the Berlin Olympics, and I thought I should definitely participate in the competition with the Taegeukgi this time. He added, “I think he must have done that. I filmed it while thinking about Mr. Son Ki-jeong’s feelings.”

Most of the competition was filmed near Melbourne, Australia, and it happened to be the second half of the movie being filmed at the time. Today is the first time I saw the finished product. “I saw it and Im Si-wan expressed it so well that I think teacher Seo Yun-bok will like it,” he said proudly.

‘1947 Boston’ is a film that depicts the story of the challenges and thrilling journey of marathon runners to participate in international competitions wearing the Taegeuk symbol for the first time after liberation in 1947, and will be released on the 27th.
