‘1947 Boston’ Im Si-wan “Exercise + diet every day… Up to 6% body fat for the first time in my life” [N Site]

(Seoul = News 1) Reporter Jang Ah-reum = Actor Im Si-wan recalled the process of creating his appearance to play marathoner Son Yun-bok in ‘1947 Boston.’

At the press preview of ‘1947 Boston’ (directed by Kang Je-gyu) held at the Lotte Cinema Konkuk University entrance in Jayang-dong, Gwangjin-gu, Seoul on the 11th, Im Si-wan said, “I prepared externally to take on the role of Son Yun-bok,”and “The work I spent the most time on was diet and exercise.”He said.

He continued, “From the time I started filming to the end, I always ate chicken breast and salad as a diet, and I had to exercise every day. I couldn’t lose my strong muscles, so I tried to maintain a sense of bulge by exercising in between cuts.”He explained.

Im Si-wan also confessed, “I measured my body fat on InBody and it came out to be 6%. It wasn’t my goal, but as I was trying to resemble Seo Yun-bok, I saw the figure of 6% for the first time in my life and I think it was amazing.”

Meanwhile, ‘1947 Boston’ is a film depicting the challenges and thrilling journey of marathon runners to participate in international competitions wearing the Taegeuk symbol for the first time after liberation in 1947, and will be released on the 27th.
