‘1947 Boston’ Im Si-wan “My first acting collaboration with Ha Jung-woo, I felt like I met a reliable older brother” [N Site]
(Seoul = News 1) Reporter Jang Ah-reum = Actor Im Si-wan expressed his feelings about working with Ha Jung-woo and Sajeji through ‘1947 Boston’.
At the press preview of ‘1947 Boston’ (directed by Kang Je-gyu) held at the Lotte Cinema Konkuk University entrance in Jayang-dong, Gwangjin-gu, Seoul on the 11th, Im Si-wan said, “This is my first time working with Jung-woo,”adding, “I don’t know how people will feel about working together, but I met a reliable brother. “I felt the same way,” he said.
He continued, “I relied on him a lot while filming,”and “I actually played the role as a coach, director, and mentor, but more than that, he was like a dependable older brother.”He then recalled, “He knows more about the world and this movie in many ways than I do,” and “I remember filming while anticipating what kind of unexpected laugh point would come out at every moment because it was fun to hear him talk.”
Im Si-wan also said, “When I reached the finish line, the feeling that amplified me at that time was a thought that I always kept repeating to myself whenever I was working on any work or piece, trying not to waste every moment. It was the thought that ‘this moment will never come back.’ “I told myself that I would have to work as hard as I could because once this moment passed, it would never come back,” he confessed.
Meanwhile, ‘1947 Boston’ is a film depicting the challenges and thrilling journey of marathon runners to participate in international competitions wearing the Taegeuk symbol for the first time after liberation in 1947, and will be released on the 27th.
