Korean-American John Cho expressed his feelings about being invited to the special exhibition.

On the afternoon of the 6th, a press conference for the 28th Busan International Film Festival ‘Korean American Special Exhibition: Korean Diaspora’ was held at the KNN Theater in Busan. Director Lee Isaac Chung, director Justin Jeon, and actors John Cho and Steven Yeun attended.

John Cho said, “I had time with the fans last night and was very moved. He welcomed me with an open heart and showed me love. He somehow felt accepted as part of the family. “So I was very moved,” he said.

He continued, “It is important to come to Korea at this time. There are changes in many areas. Technically, cinematically, and culturally, Korea is going through a transition. So, as an observer, it is meaningful for me to be in Korea now,” he said.

Also, regarding being invited to the Korean American Special Exhibition, he said, “It is a great honor. It is an honor to have a program like this planned. I wrote a novella. This is a story about a Korean immigrant child. This was translated into Korean and published. It was so special to me. I thought about what it would have been like to have been in Korea during my childhood. The fact that this book is being translated into Korea is itself our message. It was a great joy to be curious about our lives. “So it was good and it gave me strength,” he said.

‘Korean American Special Exhibition: Korean Diaspora’ was designed to provide an opportunity to look in depth at the world of work by Korean-American filmmakers active in Hollywood and to provide an opportunity to reexamine the position of the American film industry.
