Director Justin Jeon mentioned the differences between Hollywood and Korean content.

On the afternoon of the 6th, a press conference for the 28th Busan International Film Festival ‘Korean American Special Exhibition: Korean Diaspora’ was held at the KNN Theater in Busan. Director Lee Isaac Chung, director Justin Jeon, and actors John Cho and Steven Yeun attended.

Director Justin Jeon said, “Hollywood movies value plot. “I think it’s important to have a big twist or a thorough structure,” he began.

He continued, “The East and Korea consider emotional things important. There seems to be a philosophical message. I think what the movie itself is trying to say is more important. “I think it resonates and resonates more on an emotional level,” he explained.

Director Justin also said, “What I liked about Steven Yeun’s ‘Beef’ was that it felt like it brought together both Eastern and Western audiences in one bowl. You don’t see this in American movies or TV. So, I think both American and Korean audiences enjoyed this work with great interest,” he explained.

‘Korean American Special Exhibition: Korean Diaspora’ was designed to provide an opportunity to look in depth at the world of work by Korean-American filmmakers active in Hollywood and to provide an opportunity to reexamine the position of the American film industry.
