The current status of actor Ahn Seong-gi (71), who is suffering from blood cancer, was revealed on the 10th through the SNS of his agency’s junior actor Choi Ri.

In the photo, Ahn Seong-gi is sitting next to Choi Ri and smiling brightly. Her black hair has grown out, and the bright smile she holds as she holds her glass of champagne shows that she is regaining her health. She also showed off her neat fashion sense by matching her gray jacket with white pants.

Regarding Ahn Seong-ki’s news that he was suffering from blood cancer last year, Artist Company, his agency, said, “Mr. Ahn Seong-ki’s health and condition have recovered greatly. I understand that he is managing it by exercising regularly.”

He went on to explain, “He still loves movies, so he schedules responsibly for his roles, including film-related foundations,” and added, “He tends to handle his personal schedules related to movies within a reasonable range.”

There are no plans for her future acting career. An official said, “Nothing has been decided at the moment, but she is working hard to show her good side as she really loves movies,”and clearly expressed her intention to return.

After receiving the Achievement Award at the Daejong Film Festival held at the end of last year, Ahn Seong-ki said, “You are very worried about my health, but it is getting better and I will meet you again with a new movie.”

According to the agency, Ahn Seong-ki was diagnosed with blood cancer in 2019, began treatment, and was declared cured in 2020. However, it relapsed during follow-up and he had to battle cancer again for over two years.
