‘Boston’ is a film depicting the challenges and thrilling journey of marathon runners to participate in international competitions wearing the Taegeuk symbol for the first time since liberation in 1947. It contains the difficult and heated process of national hero Son Ki-jeong, Nam Seung-ryong, who won a bronze medal at the Berlin Olympics with him, and Seo Yun-bok, a promising athlete they recognized, participating in the Boston Marathon. Director Kang Je-gyu of ‘Shiri’ and ‘Taegukgi’ was in charge of directing.

Ha Jung-woo, who has established himself as Korea’s representative actor by demonstrating his unrivaled presence in several works based on true stories such as ‘The Chaser’, ‘National Representative’, ‘War on Crime: The Golden Age of Bad Guys’, ‘Assassination’, and ‘1987’ takes center stage as Son Ki-jeong, the Korean marathon legend who led the Boston Miracle in 1947. Ha Jung-woo leads the story by delicately expressing the anger of the player who lost his country, which forced him to run with the Japanese flag on his chest, to the leadership of the coach who led the team to participate in an international competition for the first time after liberation by wearing the Taegeuk symbol.

Ha Jung-woo said, “Mr. Son Ki-jeong led the team to the Boston Games, and I think he felt a sense of responsibility.” He added, “I think he felt that he had to take responsibility for not being able to wear the national flag at the Berlin Olympics and participate, and as an actor, I think Son Ki-jeong’s “I thought about that while filming,” he said.

He also said, “When I take on a character, I start from the character’s body, mind, and spirit. This time, I talked a lot with the director. I went into filming thinking about what kind of thoughts and feelings the teacher (Son Ki-jung) would have had.”The assimilation process was introduced.

He added, “While filming, I felt as if I had actually experienced it, so there were parts of my heart that were heavy. While filming, I also felt a solemnity that I had never felt before,”and confessed that he had experienced a unique emotion.

Meanwhile, ‘Boston’ will be released on the 27th.
