[OSEN=Reporter Yeon Hwi-seon] Laughter bloomed on the set of ‘Flowers that Bloom at Night’.

In episodes 1 and 2 of MBC’s Friday-Saturday drama ‘Flowers that Bloom at Night’, which aired on the 12th and 13th, the colorful episodes based on the unique subject of the double life of a married widow immediately caught the attention of viewers.

In particular, Lee Ha-nui’s (played by Jo Yeo-hwa) comedy and action drew an explosive response, reaching the highest viewership rating for the first episode of MBC’s Friday-Saturday dramas of all time at 7.9% (based on households nationwide, provided by Nielsen Korea). The second broadcast also marked a successful start with a high rating of 8.2% (based on households nationwide, provided by Nielsen Korea).

Among these, the behind-the-scenes video released today (16th) contains a behind-the-scenes action scene between Lee Ha-nui and Lee Jong-won (played by Park Soo-ho), which drew everyone’s admiration. Before starting filming, the two made thorough preparations, checking their movements in detail and matching their movements. As a result, a famous scene was created without any errors, and an action restaurant was born.

Next, we were able to get a glimpse of the acting chemistry between Lee Ki-woo (playing the role of Park Yoon-hak) and Heo Jeong-do (playing the role of King Yi-so). After going through careful rehearsals, even down to the posture of laying down the organ, they continued filming in a friendly atmosphere, and Kim Sang-joong (playing the role of Seok Ji-seong)’s sensible ad-libs added to the fun.

In particular, the pleasant chemistry with director Jang Tae-yu, who set out to put the stamp of a virtuous woman on Lee Ha-nui’s face, stood out. Director Jang Tae-yu, who went out to personally stamp Lee Ha-nui’s face, did the stamp that everyone expected, but it came out blurry and had to be scolded by Lee Ha-nui. Afterwards, she neatly re-filmed the filming, and when the filming of the scene was over, Lee Ha-nui’s easy-going side as she suddenly laid down on her back also made her laugh.

A behind-the-scenes scene of Lee Jong-won shooting an explosive archer was also included. After practicing a few times, he created a perfect scene, and Jeong Yong-ju (played by Bi-chan) also tried archery, but showed his playfulness by holding the bow upside down, making the atmosphere on set brighter.

The highlight of the second broadcast, Lee Ha-nui’s soul-crushing Daeumi-jil, was riveting from the rehearsal. It is said that the scene never ceased to be filled with laughter thanks to Lee Ha-nui’s dazzling skills that have never been seen before and Lee Ha-nui’s outstanding performance as a human sprayer.

Lastly, in the scene of a confrontation with a group of terrorists, director Jang Tae-yu, Lee Ha-nui, Lee Jong-won, and Park Se-hyeon (playing the role of Yeon-seon) checked and coordinated their movements before starting filming, and at the part where Lee Ha-nui is hugged by Lee Jong-won, the corners of the viewers’ mouths burst out laughing. I even pulled it up.
