[Cho Seong-jin’s new guitar skills] Rudy Bensch releases debut EP ‘Veild Alpha’
[Sports Korea Reporter Cho Seong-jin] I recently received a welcome email . It was sent by Park Se-young (24), a rock guitarist who works under the name ‘ Loody Bensh’ .
Rudy Bensch is said to be the leader and guitarist of the four -member alternative metal band ‘ Veild Alpha ‘ in LA, USA . For more information about Rudy Benshee, who was named after his middle school English name ‘ Rudy ‘ and the Irish fairy ‘ Bansch ‘, please refer to ‘ Seong-jin Cho’s Guitar Skills ‘ in Sports Korea dated May 1, 2021 .
Veiled Alpha was formed by guitarist Rudy Bensch in 2021 . While he was attending MI, he met bassist Tanner Kahn and decided to form a team together, but it was postponed due to the coronavirus . The lineup was then completed with the addition of drummer Matt Arsenault and vocalist Jack Campbell .
One day in 2021, Park Se-young ( Rudy Bensch ) was watching a U.S. Navy SEAL video and heard the word ‘ alpha male ‘. He liked it and decided to name the band ‘ Veiled Alpha ‘ .
‘ Veiled Alpha ‘ released its debut EP ‘Beyond The Mask’ in February 2023, following its first singles ‘Traitor’ and ‘Beauty’ in 2022 . ‘Beyond The Mask’ contains the story that most people wear a kind of ‘ mask ‘ to hide their thoughts and inner temptations in order to become a member of society . In other words , it means the essence of people beyond the mask . Rudy Bensch has good left and right hand balance , and is excellent at naturally alternating complex and elaborate riffs of various high-tension chords with fast adlibs . Even in his debut EP, you can clearly see the short but powerful charm of the guitar .
Debut EP ‘Beyond The Mask’ was mixed and mastered at ‘ Metal Factory Studio ‘ in Madrid, Spain . Alex Capa, who oversaw the sound of the album, is a professional metal sound engineer who has worked with over 500 heavy metal bands .
Veiled Alpha has delivered impactful performances on various stages such as ‘The Wacken Metal Battle ‘ and ‘ Whiskey a Go Go ‘, and local heavy metal media outlets are also showing keen interest in their music .
