[OSEN=Reporter Kim Chae-yeon] Cravity said that the qualifier they wanted for this activity was ‘explosive dragon-like.’

Cravity releases its sixth mini album ‘Sun Seeker’ today (11th) at 6 PM and sings about youth in earnest. This album, which sings of the passionate youth of youth, sings of you and me, our lives, and each other’s lives. As the album title ‘The Sun Chaser’ suggests, it is full of messages of passionate dreams. If the last album depicted the message that ‘each piece comes together to create empathy,’ this time it contains the story of youth who finds the strength and individuality that only he can have and achieves his dreams.

On the 7th, OSEN visited the Starship Entertainment building located in Cheongdam-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul and had an interview with Cravity, who are about to make a comeback.

Since last May, Cravity has been touring six cities in America and throughout Asia through the ‘2023 CRAVITY THE 1ST WORLD TOUR ‘MASTERPIECE” and communicating on stage with Luvity (official fan club name) around the world. When asked if he learned anything from his first world tour, Serim said, “We debuted during the coronavirus situation, and overseas fans especially did not have a lot to see in person. Even when he received a message through a communication app, he received a lot of messages saying, “I’ve been waiting for a long time,”so he really wanted to go on tour. It was great to meet you in person this time, and I hope to see you often in the future. “Cravity feels more relaxed performing as a group, and they seem to enjoy both title songs leisurely, and I think their abilities have improved in that regard,” he began.

Jeongmo also said, “When I performed on stage during the coronavirus pandemic, there were only cameras so I focused only on the stage. Unlike Korean fans, American fans danced together rather than following the cheering method. “I think I learned how to become more natural with that and relax and have more fun with the audience,” she explained.

In Cravity’s opinion, what are the attractive points that make them loved? Minhee said, “I think it’s important to feel the sincerity toward the fans. “We will try to communicate more sincerely, and if we try to do more, there will be many people who will be moved and love us,” said Serim. “There are many people who like our songs and stages, but there are also people who like Cravity off the stage.” There are a lot of these. I think people like us because we play well and are funny, so it feels natural to us. “It’s shown a lot in content and entertainment, and I think that’s why Luvity likes it,” he said.

The first time Cravity made their name known to the public was tvN’s ‘Fifteen Nights on the Road – Starship Episode’, which aired last year. When asked about her thoughts on entertainment, Serim said, “I enjoyed filming ‘Fifteen Nights on a Business Trip’ and enjoyed it. I think it would be good if we could all go on entertainment shows together, and even if we can’t all go on shows together, I’m always confident that we’ll do well wherever we go. “If I have the opportunity, I want to show a good performance,” he said.

Hyungjun, who showed his strengths in the random play dance of ‘Fifteen Nights on a Business Trip’, also said, “Starting with ‘Fifteen Nights on a Business Trip,’ the members also served as MCs through YouTube content, radio, and individual activities. “I think that if I utilize my abilities in many ways, I will have more opportunities to participate in entertainment shows that can promote Cravity,” he said.

As they showed a special presence in the cover dance in ‘Fifteen Nights on a Business Trip’, expectations for the challenge are also high. When asked if he could expect collaboration with other groups, Hyeongjun said, “First of all, I plan to participate with other idol seniors and juniors as much as I can. These days, I’m practicing ‘suupa’. He raised expectations by saying, “Since Tik Tok and Lil’s are hot these days, I think we can cover a lot of songs that are popular overseas and take on various challenges even if they are not necessarily the songs of idol seniors or juniors.”

Cravity, who is recording rapid growth at a career high, plans to expand the story, establish style, and further prove that he is an artist who has grown to the next level through perfect teamwork through this album. When asked if he felt any pressure about performance, Wonjin said, “It would be nice if good results followed, but as we became stronger, more connected, and closer to our fans, when we checked the results, we were seeing good results as well. “I think that if we narrow things down as tightly and tightly as we do now, better results will follow,” he said.

What differentiates Cravity from other groups? Seongmin said, “We are currently showing a refreshing concept, but in the early days of our debut, we played a variety of genres, including strong concepts. The point is that in the future, we will be able to deliver a variety of appearances and energy without being limited to one concept. “Our strength is that the chemistry between the members is strong, we have fun appearing on entertainment shows, and we have received a lot of praise for our own content, so I think that will also be a strength.”

In addition, Woobin said, “For 4th generation idols, I think the era has come where they have to put in effort rather than building recognition just because they are good at dancing and singing. We are working hard in the entertainment and content areas, and we are also engaging in a lot of communication through social media and with fans. “I think it’s important to often show Day Off’s creativity outside of the stage through live performances,” he said.

Those who debuted in April 2020 have already celebrated their 3rd anniversary this year. Regarding the changes compared to the beginning of his debut, Seongmin said, “Because we performed for two years without fans due to the pandemic, the energy we could show on stage was limited. “After everything went well, I think the real energy the members enjoy on stage has really increased, and I think the quality of their performances has improved accordingly,” he answered.

Wonjin continued, “As we stand on many big stages and events, we watch other artists’ performances together, and we also go to concerts of artists we like and experience the stages, so we also come to have more opinions among ourselves at concerts. For our first concert, we followed what the company did without any opinions, but as we prepared for this world tour, we gave our opinions on the production aspect and talked about what we wanted to do on stage with other artists. As for the set list, it would be nice to have a twist in the atmosphere as I watched the stage a lot, and I thought it would be nice to move this song later, so the quality seems to be higher. “I think our capabilities have also improved,” he said.

When asked about Cravity’s goal, Hyungjun said, “This is our second comeback this year. My goal is to stand on stage or at an awards ceremony at the end of the year, and I want to show Luvity many great performances, live up to expectations, and take responsibility for the end of the year. “Only when I perform on stage at the end of the year will I feel like I worked hard this year and that the results are coming,” he expressed his ambition. In addition, Seongmin added, “Since both double title stages have a refreshing concept, I want to make people think of ‘Cravity’ as a refreshing group, and the ultimate goal is that I hope fans will gain strength after seeing our performance.”

In addition, Allen said, “As the only foreign member, I hoped that Cravity would receive a lot of attention from overseas. He appeared twice on KCon USA. He is number 2 in LA and number 1 in Chicago. “I want to perform on the KCON ending stage in my hometown, LA,” he said. “I was thrilled to see my long-time role model, senior Taemin, perform with my own eyes. Taemin sunbaenim was the one who made me dream of becoming an idol, so it was a very significant and meaningful moment. “It felt like a dream,” he recalled. When asked about other role models in Cravity other than Taemin, Wonjin mentioned Seventeen’s Hoshi and Woobin mentioned pop star Lauv and answered, “I get inspiration from people who I can learn a lot from.”

How would you describe CRAVITY using one keyword? Taeyoung said, “I am a wild dragon. “It’s a word that a lot of people use these days, and it means something intense and very good.” Also, regarding the qualifier he would like to gain through this activity, Wonjin said, “Personally, I like the songs included in this album, so I would like to get the title of ‘Best Song Restaurant.’ As I look forward to more in the future, I also liked the mood of the song. “I have high expectations for this album to become my favorite album, so I want to have that kind of qualifier,” he said.

Meanwhile, Cravity’s sixth mini album ‘Sun Seeker’ will be released on various music sites at 6 PM (KST) on the 11th.
