Director Ha Jung-woo’s third film ‘LOBBY’ was released in December last year.

Director Ha Jung-woo said on the 16th, “I am so thankful that I was able to make ‘Lobby’ at a time when Korean movies were not easy. There were a lot of lines and it was important to get them all together in advance, so I held readings 10 times since May, and the actors were so good. “Thank you for your cooperation,” he said.

He continued, “It was a filming where I realized once again that movies are made through teamwork with all the staff and actors working together,” and added, “I received a great gift and blessing. “I will do my best in post-production and come back with an interesting movie,” he said.

Actors Ha Jung-woo, Kim Eui-seong, Park Byeong-eun, Park Hae-soo, Kang Mal-geum, Lee Dong-hwi, Kwak Sun-young, Hyun Bong-sik, Choi Si-won, Cha Joo-young, Kang Hae-rim, and Eom Ha-neul play ‘Robby’, perfect in research, zero in business, and better in golf. It depicts the story surrounding the lobby golf that an unknown Chang-wook (played by Ha Jung-woo) engages in to win a national smart road project.

This is director Ha Jung-woo’s third directorial film, following ‘Roller Coaster’ (2013) and ‘Heo Sam-gwan’ (2015). On December 27th last year, three months of filming was successfully completed and post-production work is currently in full swing.

The casting lineup is also interesting. Chang-wook and Gwang-woo, one-time best friends and rivals who fight to win the right to a large-budget national project, were played by Ha Jung-woo and Park Byeong-eun, respectively. The two axes of ‘A’, which has the authority to make bid decisions, are Kim Eui-seong, a veteran civil servant who is in charge of practical work, and Kang Mal-geum is Minister Cho, who is not interested in practical work but has great ambitions.

Kwak Sun-young plays the role of Director Kim, Chang-wook’s right-hand man who recommends golf, and newcomer Eom Ha-neul plays Chang-wook’s younger cousin and soldier in charge, Ho-sik. Reporter Park, who introduces Director Choi to Chang-wook, is Dong-hwi Lee, and Hae-soo Park is the representative of August CC Golf Course, where the two teams will play rounds on the same day.

And Director Choi’s ‘favorite golfer’ Jin Pro, whom Changwook brings in as reinforcements for Lobby Golf, is a newcomer, Kang Hae-rim. Choi Si-won plays the former top star Ma Tae-soo, Minister Choi’s favorite, who was brought in by Gwang-woo. Separate from this lobbying, Hyun Bong-sik will play the role of Father Garcini, whom the golf course representative hires in hopes of lifting the green belt, and Cha Joo-young will play the role of Da-mi, Minister Choi’s school junior and the golf course owner’s wife, in her first screen acting role.
