Kim Jong-jin (50), CEO of entertainment agency Kurznine Entertainment and online shopping mall Chic Hera, who were sued for non-payment of wages to executives and employees, lost the lawsuit.

The Seoul Western District Court’s 12th Civil Division (Judge Lee Kwan-hyung) recently delivered a ruling on a non-payment of wages lawsuit filed by seven former employees of entertainment agency Kurznine Entertainment and online shopping mall Chic Hera against these companies (CEO Kim Jong-jin). On the date of death, the plaintiff ruled in favor of the plaintiff.

According to the ruling obtained by YTN, the court ruled that Sikhera should pay a total of about 11.1 million won to the two plaintiffs, and Kurznine Entertainment should pay a total of about 22.7 million won to the six plaintiffs. Among these, one plaintiff still has unsettled wages from both companies.

The plaintiff’s side said, “The defendants have not paid the plaintiffs wages for several months and have not paid national pension and national health insurance, and have not paid wages, compensation, or any other money or severance pay to the plaintiffs even after they retired.”He stated, and the court cited them all.

Yang Tae-jeong, a lawyer at Gwangya Law Firm, who represented the plaintiffs, told YTN, “Workers have been suffering financially for a long time due to unpaid wages. Nevertheless, she said, “I believed in the representative and reported it to the Ministry of Employment and Labor to avoid criminal punishment.”

The lawyer then said, “We request that the unpaid wages be paid as soon as possible,” and, “If this is refused, additional legal action, such as seizure, will be taken.”

Meanwhile, the fact that former employees of Curz Nine Entertainment and Chic Hera took legal action against CEO Kim was first made known through an exclusive report by YTN in July of last year. The fact that CEO Kim, who was a famous film director and had aggressively expanded his business into management, production, and fashion, was accused shocked the industry.

Before the executives and employees, singer and actor Danny Ahn, broadcaster Lee Byung-jin, and new actor A, who were affiliated with the company at the time, filed a complaint against CEO Kim, but withdrew the lawsuit, saying, “It was a misunderstanding.”However, executives and employees were angry, saying that even after the artists withdrew their complaints, there was no promise or apology to resolve their unpaid wages.

The plaintiffs issued a statement in the name of solidarity with all executives and employees of Curz Nine Entertainment, saying, “We must immediately understand the common sense and fundamental problem with CEO Kim’s attitude that he only needs to appease celebrities who influence society without even providing an apology or an answer to the question.””We will try to catch him,” he said, adding, “We will hold him legally responsible until the end.”

At the time, CEO Kim told YTN, “We plan to repay some unpaid amounts as a top priority as soon as economic activities resume after the company’s bankruptcy procedures are completed.”However, there was virtually no response to this lawsuit, and the argument ended with no argument.
