Actress Kim So-yeon makes a surprise appearance in ‘Escape of the Seven.’

As a result of Star News coverage on the 6th, Kim So-yeon confirmed a special appearance in the SBS Friday-Saturday drama ‘Escape of the Seven’ (written by Kim Soon-ok, directed by Joo Dong-min).

Kim So-yeon’s surprise appearance in ‘Escape of the Seven’ was made possible by her special relationship with writer Kim Soon-ok. Kim So-yeon appeared as the main character Cheon Seo-jin in writer Kim Soon-ok’s previous work, SBS’ ‘Penthouse’, and she played a very active role as a ‘rare villainess’ character.

With the perfect collaboration of writers Kim So-yeon and Kim Soon-ok, ‘Penthouse’ will be aired from 2020 to 2021 for Season 3, becoming a huge hit with a peak viewership rating of 29.2%. Kim So-yeon, who led the popularity of ‘Penthouse’, also had the honor of winning the grand prize at the 2021 ‘SBS Drama Awards’.

‘Escape of the Seven’ has many ‘Penthouse’ cast members, including Um Ki-jun, Yoon Jong-hoon, and Shin Eun-kyung, so Kim So-yeon’s special appearance is even more welcome. What is also expected is how they will meet in ‘Escape of the Seven’.

‘Escape of the Seven’ is a picaresque revenge drama depicting the struggle for survival of seven villains involved in the disappearance of a girl and the bloody punishment they face.
