Actor Ha Jung-woo expressed his hope that the theater district would be revived by the box office success of ‘1947 Boston’ and other Chuseok movies.

On the 11th, a press screening of the movie ‘1947 Boston’ (directed by Kang Je-gyu) was held at the Lotte Cinema Konkuk University entrance in Gwangjin-gu, Seoul. Director Kang Je-gyu, actors Ha Jung-woo, Im Si-wan, and Kim Sang-ho attended the event and shared various stories.

‘1947 Boston’ is a story about the challenges and thrilling journey of marathon runners to participate in international competitions wearing the Taegeuk symbol for the first time after liberation in 1947.

Ha Jung-woo, who came to theaters with ‘1947 Boston’ following ‘Unofficial Operation’ (directed by Kim Seong-hoon) last summer, said, “I can’t be involved in the release date, but it happened to be released during Chuseok in the summer.”

He continued, “This is not the first time I have encountered this situation while filming and releasing a movie. I am just trying to accept it. However, the number of audiences these days is not back to what it used to be, so I just hope that last summer and this year’s Chuseok will create good synergy.””I hope that everyone will come to the theater and watch the movie like that. I hope that both ‘Dr. Cheon’s Exorcism Lab: Secret of the Snow Scene’ and ‘Cobweb’ do well so that we can enjoy good times again,” he said.

Lastly, director Kang Je-gyu said, “Because of COVID-19, we postponed and postponed the release again. In fact, I felt sick and sick, and I was also jealous when I saw other movies being released first. Fortunately, those few years were valuable and precious times to refine the movie. “I think it was. I felt and learned a lot through this movie,” he added, encouraging viewers to watch it.

Meanwhile, ‘1947 Boston’ will be released on the 27th.
