[Sports Chosun.com Reporter Jeong Yu-na] While the nation is feeling anxious due to the recent announcement of a knife attack targeting an unspecified number of people, voices of concern are growing as warnings of unprovoked terror attacks against celebrities continue.

On the 6th, singer and actress IU revealed that she had recently received death threats and announced that she plans to take strong action under the ‘zero tolerance principle’.

On this day, IU’s agency, EDAM Entertainment, said, “Recently, a death threat was reported against an artist, and the level of violent acts against the artist has already gone too far, with investigative agencies urgently dispatched to our company’s headquarters, Kakao Entertainment’s headquarters, and the artist’s home.”He said.

Espa Winter also received death threats earlier. Last August, a netizen posted a threat on an online community saying, ‘I will kill Winter with a weapon when she leaves the country.’

Accordingly, SM Entertainment, the agency, filed a complaint with the police against the person who posted the post and requested immediate cooperation in the investigation. In addition, security personnel were strengthened and measures were taken to ensure that Espa could leave the country safely with the cooperation of security personnel and airport police.

Fortunately, thanks to SM’s quick response, Aespa left the country safely without any damage and attended the ‘Outsidelands Music and Arts Festival’ held at Golden Gate Park in San Francisco, USA.

Recently, the safety of citizens is being threatened as many victims have been killed in actual knife shooting incidents and related notices continue to be posted. Voices of concern are growing as terror notices continue to appear in the entertainment industry as well.
