Singer IU revealed the name of her new song ‘Love wins’, but decided to change the title due to criticism from some sexual minorities.

The agency Edam Entertainment changed the title of IU’s pre-released song ‘Love Wins’, scheduled for release at 6pm on the 24th, to ‘Love wins all’ “He said on the 19th.

He added, “We accept the concerns that the title of this song will obscure the important message, and we want to further respect and support everyone who lives and loves in various ways.”

Previously, after revealing the song title ‘Love Wins’, IU was criticized for using the slogan that sexual minorities have used for years to emphasize human rights as the song’s title, which may have faded its meaning.

‘Love Wins’ is a phrase used as a slogan by sexual minorities when the U.S. Supreme Court made a historic decision on June 26, 2015 that same-sex marriage was constitutional. At the time, hundreds of homosexuals gathered in front of the Federal Supreme Court cheered and chanted “Love Wins.” Since then, ‘Love Wins’ has been used to support sexual minorities.

When IU introduced “Love Wins” as the title of her new song, some sexual minorities protested, saying, “I feel like our language has been taken away.” On the other hand, there was also a response that said, “It is excessive to view the word ‘Love Wins’ only as a symbol of homosexuality and prevent it from being used.”

In the end, IU chose to change the song name. The agency said, “If there is a word that is most opposed to the message contained in the song to be released, it would be ‘hate,’” and added, “I hope all love will win in a world without hate, without hurting anyone.” “I sincerely hope that the meaning of this song is conveyed,” he said.
