At the press conference for the 28th Busan International Film Festival’s special program ‘Korean American Special Exhibition: Korean Diaspora’ held at the KNN Tower in Centumseo-ro, Haeundae-gu, Busan on the 6th, John Cho spoke about his impressions of visiting Korea, saying, “I had time with the fans and was very moved. “he said.

He continued, “He opened his heart to welcome me and showed me love, and it felt like I was being accepted as a member of the family, so I was also very touched.”

Jonjo also explained, “It is important to come to Korea at this time. There are changes in many fields, especially Korea, which is currently going through a cultural transition. As an observer, I think it is meaningful to come to Korea now.”

Jonjo said about being invited to the Korean Diaspora program, “It was a great honor,”and “I was honored personally, but the program itself was planned.”

At the same time, he said, “It was such a great joy and great strength to be curious about the lives of Korean Americans,”and about the attention given to Korean cultural content, he said, “I think there are many benefits. I feel encouraged and happy in this situation.”.

Meanwhile, this year’s Busan International Film Festival prepared a special program, ‘Korean American Special Exhibition: Korean Diaspora’. Director Lee Isaac Chung of ‘Minari’ (2020), which gave actress Yuh-jeong Youn the Best Supporting Actress Award at the 2021 Academy Awards, and Steven Yeun, another lead actor of ‘Minari’, Justin Jeon of ‘Pachinko’ (2022), director Kogonada, ‘Search’ (2018) Jonjo attended.
