He said, “I always told everyone this from the beginning. “If the first ‘Aquaman’ was the journey of Arthur (James Momoa) and Mera, the second film was always going to be Arthur and Orm (Patrick Wilson),” he explained. He then added, “The first was a romantic action-adventure film, and the second is a bromance action-adventure film,”emphasizing that Heard’s claims were groundless.

Depp previously sued Heard for defamation over a 2018 column in which she accused him of domestic violence. The court ultimately ruled in Depp’s favor, and Heard later paid Depp $1 million.

During the trial, Heard claimed that her fight with Depp had taken a toll on her reputation and career. She said, “I fought really hard to do the movie. But they (the production crew) didn’t want to include me in the movie. I received a new version of the script with the action scenes (that were originally included) removed. The new script portrayed a different character from my original character. “A lot of my role has been removed,” he claimed.

Heard’s agent said that they received an official message from the production company that the role of Heard and Momoa had been reduced due to problems with their chemistry. Meanwhile, her agent believed that the real reason for her reduced role was the negative press associated with her and Depp.

Meanwhile, there were claims that Momoa intentionally forced Heard to be fired from the film, but a source who was on the London set in 2021 testified that the two got along well on set.
