[OSEN=Reporter Jang Woo-young] Actor Joo Joo-woo has confirmed his appearance in ‘Goryeo Khitan War’ and will transform into a Goryeo army general.

KBS2’s new epic historical drama ‘Goryeo-Khitan War’, a special project for the 50th anniversary of KBS Public Broadcasting, is about Emperor Hyeonjong (Kim Dong-jun) of Goryeo, who united Goryeo with tolerant leadership and led the war against the Khitan to victory, and Kang Gam-chan (Kang Gam-chan), his political mentor and commander-in-chief of the Goryeo army. This is a work that tells the story of Soo-jong Choi.

In the play, Joo-woo plays the role of Kim Sook-heung, a brave general who fights for Goryeo with Yang-gyu (Ji Seung-hyeon). He is a tiger of the Savior who destroys his prey with a single blow, and is a person who cut off the heads of countless opponents and rescued numerous Goryeo prisoners during the withdrawal of the Khitan army. The lead actor is expected to add tension to the drama as Kim Sook-heung.

So far, the main actors have been ‘Health Teacher Ahn Eun-young’ and ‘Shh! He has appeared in various works such as ‘Please Take Care of Him’ and ‘Tracer’ and has displayed diverse acting skills. In particular, in the recently concluded KBS2 drama ‘You, the One I Met by Chance’, he played the role of ‘Yoo Beom-ryong’, a mysterious character, and left a strong presence by portraying complex emotions with delicate acting skills.

As such, expectations are high on what kind of twist the new lead actor, who has attracted attention with his perfect character portrayal in each work, will show through ‘Goryeo Khitan War’.
