Actress Park Ye-young challenges her acting transformation with a new character.

Park Ye-young returns to the small screen with tvN’s new Saturday-Sunday drama ‘Sejak, The Bewitched’ (directed by Jo Nam-guk, written by Kim Seon-deok), which is scheduled to be broadcast for the first time on January 21st. Actress Park Ye-young, who boasts excellent character digestion and a wide acting spectrum in each work she appears in, plays the role of ‘Dong Sang-gung’, a person who holds power and secrets, and works with Jo Jung-seok.

‘Sejak, The Bewitched’ is a work that depicts the cruel fate of King Yi-in, who holds a high position but has a lowly heart, and a woman who becomes Sejak (a spy) to bring down him. The previously released highlight video is raising viewers’ expectations by foreshadowing a fierce match of love and revenge between king Lee In (played by Jo Jeong-seok) and baduk player Kang Hee-soo (played by Shin Se-kyung).

‘Dong Sang-gung’, played by Park Ye-young, is King Yi In’s secret concubine and is completely loved by him, so she is called a powerful person in the palace. Palace Lady Dong (played by Park Ye-young) is someone who secretly loves Lee In and at the same time holds his fatal secret, creating tension as to what kind of wind he will bring to the power struggle within the palace.

Previously, Park Ye-young appeared in major works such as ‘Seaside Village Cha Cha Cha’, ‘Gugyeong’, and ‘Anna’, and made a mark on the public by succeeding in various transformations for each character she played. In particular, in the Coupang Play series ‘Anna’, she gave an immersive performance as ‘Ji-won’, Anna’s (Suzy)’s only close associate and college senior, and was selected as New Female Actor of the Year in the series category at the ’21st Director’s Cut Awards’ in 2023. He also won an award.

‘Sejak, The Bewitched’ will be specially broadcast on the 1st and 2nd consecutive episodes on the afternoon of the 21st.
