According to TIME’s announcement on its official website on the 5th (local time), Stray Kids were named among the next-generation leaders as of 2023. Since 2014, TIME has been announcing a list of ‘Next Generation Leaders’ by selecting young trendsetters and pioneers. Stray Kids is the second K-pop boy group to be selected in this category, following BTS.

Time introduced Stray Kids as “a group that achieved global success by embracing new sounds”and focused on their pre-debut and official debut process. He continued, “Stray Kids, who have pushed forward their unique musical direction, placed their mini album ‘ODDINARY’ at number one on the US ‘Billboard 200’ chart for the first time in March 2022. Support from the global fandom called STAY is also there. “It’s amazing,” he explained.

Member Changbin said through Time, “By continuously pioneering new musical themes, our goal is for our music to be known as a genre called ‘Stray Kids.’”

Stray Kids performed very well on stages around the world with their own music, firmly establishing themselves as a ‘global trend.’ ‘ODDINARY’ in March 2022, ‘MAXIDENT’ in October, and ‘★★★★★ (5-STAR)’ in June 2023, three consecutive works topped the ‘Billboard 200’. Recently, they went on stage as headliners at the famous music festival ‘Lollapalooza Paris’ and thrilled about 60,000 local audiences, and Bang Chan, Changbin, and Han of the group’s producing team 3RACHA performed at the ‘2023 Global Citizen Festival’ held in New York’s Central Park. appeared and exuded a special presence.
