[TV Report = Reporter Ahn Soo-hyun] As controversy over Malaysian singer Liang Jingru’s “invisible concert seats”intensified, the organizer was even sued by nine visitors.

On the 15th, Shanghai Rubik’s Cube Pan-Cultural Performing Arts Co., the organizer of Liang Jinglu’s (45) concert, was sued for deceiving the audience and violating their right to know..

The incident began when nine fans who attended singer Liang Jingru’s concert expressed their dissatisfaction because they could not see the stage properly because their view was blocked by a structure. Liang Jingru’s fans who were unable to properly attend her concert expressed their dissatisfaction on social media by taking pictures from their seats and viewing the stage. After seeing this, the concert organizer offered a gift card worth 200 yuan (about 36,000 won), but this was not enough to appease the angry fans.

Fans who received gift cards became increasingly angry and decided to resolve the issue through law.

Finally, on the 15th, the case was heard in a Shanghai court, and the plaintiff asked the court to order a refund of 1,299 yuan and 17,140 yuan for tickets on the grounds that the defendant deceived consumers and violated their right to know about limited seat visibility. This is equivalent to approximately 3.33 million won. The plaintiff also questioned why refunds or seat changes were not properly provided.

Shanghai Rubik’s Cube Pan-Cultural Performing Arts Co., Ltd. said, “Concertgoers could not prove that the limited field of view had a detrimental effect on their viewing experience.”In addition, he defended himself by saying, “The view from that seat alone does not affect the overall viewing experience.”

Additionally, the concert organizers told the judge, “They never advertised that there were no pillars in the concert hall, and there was no need to make any effort to ensure that the view was not blocked.” He also said, “We have already taken the necessary steps to appease the plaintiff.”

Meanwhile, singer Suryang Jing Nu, the protagonist of the controversial concert, is a talented Malaysian singer whose representative songs include ‘Wings of Love’, ‘Swallowtail Butterfly’ etc.
