[OSEN=Reporter Ji Min-kyung] YG TREASURE continues their upward trend in local popularity by releasing the Japanese version of their 2nd album title song ‘BONA BONA’ and unit song ‘MOVE’, which received much love by sweeping major Japanese charts.

Treasure announced this news by performing the Japanese version of ‘BONA BONA’ at Japan’s first fan meeting tour ‘2023 TREASURE FAN MEETING~HELLO AGAIN~’ held at the Kobe World Memorial Hall in Hyogo Prefecture, Japan from the 8th to the 10th. The new Japanese versions of ‘MOVE’ and ‘BONA BONA’ are scheduled to be released at midnight on the 16th and 25th, respectively.

Both songs have captured the hearts of Japanese listeners, so a good response is expected. ‘BONA BONA’ showed its extraordinary presence by topping various local charts, including Japan’s largest music site Line Music, and member Junkyu’s first self-composed song, ‘MOVE’, entered the top ranks of major Japanese music charts.

The 2nd full-length album ‘REBOOT’, which contains two sound sources, also ranked first on Oricon’s weekly album chart, weekly pop (import) album, and weekly overall album chart, and on Billboard Japan’s comprehensive album chart ‘Hot Albums’ and ‘Top Albums’. It entered first place on ‘Top Albums Sales’ and enjoyed the feat of winning 5 major weekly album charts in Japan.

Currently, Treasure is conducting a large-scale Japanese fan meeting tour in 5 cities and 20 times. Following Fukuoka, which opened fire in January last September, Kobe also finished successfully, with all tickets sold out on the 3rd day. It will move to Yokohama Pia Arena MM from September 16th to 18th, Nagoya Aichi Prefecture International Exhibition Center from September 23rd to 24th, and Tokyo Ariake Arena from September 30th to October 1st. On November 12th, the finale will take place at Tokyo Dome, known as the stage of dreams.

Meanwhile, Treasure recently released its 2nd full-length album ‘REBOOT’ and is actively engaged in activities. The album’s domestic sales and overseas exports combined exceeded 1.71 million copies (based on Circle Chart), making it the first album to become a million-seller. Building on the momentum, they plan to continue their popularity by releasing the music video for the b-side song ‘BOMB’ following the promotions for the title song ‘BONA BONA’. /mk3244@osen.co.kr
