American pop star Madonna was sued by the audience. This is because she started the concert two hours later than scheduled.

According to ABC and entertainment media outlet TMZ on the 18th (local time), two men living in New York, Michael Fellows and Jonathan Hadden, filed a claim for damages against Madonna and her entertainment agency.

They explained that Madonna’s ‘Celebration’ tour concert, which was scheduled to be held at the Barclays Center in New York at 8:30 pm on December 13th of last year, started at 10:45 pm, two hours later.

The performance ended at 1 a.m. the next day, past midnight, and those who were unable to use public transportation or ride-hailing services claimed that transportation costs were high.

In particular, the two people pointed out that the performance at the time was on a weekday and that it interfered with their ability to go to work or do housework the next day, and criticized it as “unconscionable, unfair, and deceptive trading practices.”

They also requested the court to treat Madonna’s lawsuit as a class action, claiming that she committed similar atrocities at her other regional performances.

This is not the first time Madonna has been sued for being late. In the past, a man in Florida, USA, filed a lawsuit in November 2019, claiming that Madonna started her concert two hours late and was unable to watch her performance, but withdrew it a month later.

In February 2020, two audience members at Madonna’s concert filed a lawsuit claiming that the performance was delayed by more than two hours, but a settlement was reached five months later.

Meanwhile, the concert began in October after Madonna postponed her tour concert schedule once due to a bacterial infection in June last year.
